Freelance Art Director / Senior Designer (NYC)

BCBD is actively looking for a multi-disciplinary freelance Art Director / Senior Designer with confidence and swagger in working on a wide-variety of branding and graphic design projects. While collaborating with a Creative Director and Client Strategy teams, the Senior Designer will create and execute brand-centric visual design across a wide range of applications which may include, but not be limited to, brand identity, packaging, print, and digital materials. Local candidates only.

Responsibilities:

· Explore and develop design directions from start to finish
· Use compelling concepts and ideas to design impact applications
· Bring a flexible, entrepreneurial spirit of taking on the impossible
· Take direction while communicating a clear point of view
· Work well under pressure, in a fast pace environment & under tight deadlines
· Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and share knowledge

Qualifications:

· At least 3+ years of creative experience in a multi-disciplinary environment
· A bachelor’s or similar degree in design
· A strong contemporary background, dialed into pop culture trends
· Advanced / expert technical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
· Extremely detail-oriented
· Excellent communication and writing skills
· Web Development & Motion skills is a plus
· WordPress CMS skills is a bigger plus
